Receptionist - Customer Service

Location: Cerritos CA

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Salary: $18-$20/hourly

Job Description:

The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for the company providing warm hospitality to visitors and smooth communication management across the organization. This role ensures all incoming calls mail and administrative requests are handled efficiently professionally and in alignment with company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Answer screen and direct incoming calls on a multi-line phone system in a courteous and professional manner; take detailed messages and route calls or voicemails appropriately.
• Retrieve and review general voice messages each morning promptly routing them to the correct team members.
• Greet all incoming visitors ascertain their needs and notify or direct them to the appropriate employee or meeting location.
• Process incoming daily mail and packages ensuring prompt distribution to internal recipients.
• Prepare label and coordinate outgoing mail courier deliveries and outgoing parcels.
• Perform general administrative and clerical support including filing photocopying scanning and digital record management.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems for company correspondence records and front-desk documents.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree (A.A.) preferred; 24 years of related administrative or front-desk experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong professional demeanor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and basic office equipment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
• Typing speed of at least 35 WPM with high accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize daily tasks effectively
• Basic understanding of clerical accounting procedures (e.g. light invoicing or expense tracking) is a plus.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Primary work environment is a standard professional office setting.
• Frequently required to sit for extended periods at a computer desk.
• Regularly required to stand walk reach and navigate the office facility.
• Occasionally required to lift move or carry office supplies and mail parcels up to 25 lbs
